Effective Date: March 13, 2026
The Scalp Society ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website at learn.thescalpsociety.com and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and account credentials when you create an account or enroll in a course. If you make a purchase, payment information is processed securely through our third-party payment processor (Stripe) - we do not store your full credit card number.
We also collect usage data automatically, such as pages visited, time spent on the Platform, device type, browser type, and IP address. This information helps us improve the Platform experience.
We use your information to provide and maintain the Platform, process enrollments and payments, communicate with you about your courses and account, send relevant updates about your cohort and live calls, improve our educational content and user experience, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with service providers who assist in operating the Platform (such as Firebase for authentication, Stripe for payments, and Netlify for hosting), but only to the extent necessary for them to perform their services. We may also share information if required by law or to protect our rights.
When you participate in a mentorship cohort, your name and profile information may be visible to other members of your cohort and your assigned educator. Discussion posts and messages within the Platform are visible to your cohort members and educators.
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session, remember your preferences, and analyze Platform usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS), secure authentication through Firebase, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account information and course progress for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also request a copy of the data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at carieblush@thescalpsociety.com.
The Platform is intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform with a new effective date.
